About Joost

Hoi! I'm Joost, a Dakar-based Africa correspondent and photographer. Before, I was based in Kenya for a bit longer than five years. From Senegal, I’m working as the Africa Correspondent of Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant.

My work has also been published by other Dutch and international media outlets like Trouw, National Geographic, The Guardian, Al Jazeera, The Economist, The New York Times, El País and Der Spiegel.
